Ahhh, Friday night at last....I thought Friday was never going to get here. I have been too busy all week to blog. It is my mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary coming up and I have taken on the task of putting together a digital scrapbook of their lives so I have been gathering photos from all the kids and asking for letters of sentiment to mom and dad to put in there as well. Of course, my most fun has been the pictures which I have been morphing of my family. That has kept me at my computer till after midnight every night as I put my brother's head on my dad's body or put my dad's head on a muscle body. Needless to say, I have been cracking myself up.....
On top of all that, Christopher has a school project that is due next week that he has been pestering me every single day to get started. He has written a report at school about sharks and we had to make a diorama to go with his report. A diorama is a 3D scene which you make in a shoe box, a miniature model of something. I have to admit that my diorama, excuse me, I mean CHRISTOPHER'S diorama turned out beautiful. Obviously not something that my son did all by himself but hey, that was never stated as a requirement. He helped picked out all the items to go in it and glue in the sand and the stuff on the bottom and cut some of the stuff. Here is a picture of it from a couple of different angles. Many thanks to my friend Gail who provided the sand and seaweed and some shells for the project as well as internet research on it. She was wishing she had to put one togeher so she could play too!

Lately I have been playing a game with Christopher....called Moment of Truth. I don't know if you have seen this show on TV or not but they ask you questions and you have to answer truthfully or the lie detector will tell whether you were lying or not. If you lie, then you lose all the money from the truthful answers. It has been a great way to get honest answers out of him.....I've asked him questions like "have you ever picked your nose and ate it?" (and just so you know, his answer was YES...gross!) or "if your girlfriend Emily wanted you to kiss her, would you?" His answer to that one was an adamant NO because he would get suspended if he did. His answers have cracked us up........I don't know where he comes up with some of the things that he says. When we were getting ready to pray tonight, Chris and I were laying on his bed and Christopher said, "Hey, get away from my woman! She doesn't want you....cuz your old and you've got a beard and nose hair and an oddly shaped butt!" We were laughing so hard we about peed.....he just kept going on and on about all Chris' characteristics that weren't good and when we asked him where he came up with all this stuff, he said, "well, I just have to LOOK at you to come up with it!"
Here is a card I made during the week. I started making tri-fold cards to do something different because I was bored. Here are a couple of pictures of the first one that I made. I forgot to take a picture of the 2nd one but I plan on making more this weekend if time and homework permit!

One good note about today....someone at work today bought 4 mother's day cards and paid me $20 or $5 each because she thought that I undercharged for them! Yahoo! Well, off to my digital scrapbook.....
